I have bought an old station masters house (approx. 1890 but not sure).it had that horrid 1960 fake panelling all over - now I've removed it I see why.the plaster is horrid, crumbly, very white and the 4 inch nails he banged it in with have left big holes in the walls.
Q - I am thinking I will need to take it all off back to brick, am I right? Its about an inch thick.
q_ If so will a P2 mask, white suit and gloves do the job - someone said they used to put asbestos in to add fibres to old plaster, but I don't think so.?!?
Q- any idea how long it will take -3 bed detached - its just will only let me have skip for 4 days, then pay day by day for max 7 days. 2 adults at it.
cheers

sounds like it is time to get the dust sheets out!

Not aware of any asbestos issues, but would recommend getting kitted out, as will get messy, and just one P2 ain't going to go far.

If it's all failed, you should be able to knock off 4 rooms a day bag up and skip, but will likely need more than one skip anyway! Unless you getting 40 cubic one!
