Do you need 2 doors in a kitchen?

Is there any regulations as to whether you need 2 doors in a kitchen? We currently have one internal and one external door in the kitchen, but we wish to block up the external door and open up a new door just next to the kitchen (along with knocking down an internal wall).

Anyone know if this is allowed within regulations?

Yep no worries with your idea. From your layout it is quite possible the wall is carrying your floor joists
