Hello,

I was attempting to repair my old torn plasterboard walls ready for re tiling but it's too much work so I want to dot and dab over the old plasterboard with new board.

Do I need to seal it with anything before? It's pretty torn up. I cant remove the old stuff as it's been dot and dabbed straight onto the brick work.

Thanks very much

Continuous bead around the edge anda ll fittings.....

I would stick it (dot&dab or otherwise) if if the old is firm but also try and get some screws in.

No, I wouldnt anyway, pva is not a solve-all-issues 'all jobs are better with than without' type product. Its actually fairly naff.

Is this in a bathroom or shower?
