Dover...

It seems that the majority of members on here are Remoaners, and do they moan!
I'm happy to debate politics and Brexit, but I see no point if 'the opposition' can do nothing but whinge and whine.

Holding a failing government to account is not whinging and whining.

Ignoring problems and staying silent is being weak and accepting subjugation from your rulers.

Be weak if you will, but don't criticise those that speak out. Imagine the mess we'd be in if everybody just sat silently pretending everything was OK.

..The UK’s former ambassador to France Lord Peter Ricketts told The Observer that the “shortage of French border force officials is a short-term, tactical problem”.

“The long-term, serious issue is that this is the first time we’ve seen the full pressure on the border after Brexit,” he said.

“Even if it was a full complement of the French border force there would still be massive delays, because Dover port can’t cope with the volume.”

Meanwhile, Bozza and his Brexers say...

Downing Street has said travel chaos at the Dover port over the past few days has not been “necessitated by leaving the European Union”.

Pretty damning having come from from the current crop of liars.

It's what the morons voted for. Let's dance and sing "end freedom of movement, hooray for Brexit, hooray!..."

(y)
Throw in the chunnel too. Even the authorities who control these agree - rather quietly.

Poor luv. And you were desperate to put up your side of the Brexit argument, ready with all those Brexit benefits, advantages and sunlit uplands. Pity, those pesky remoaners and their grumbling has stopped you from putting forth your brilliant Brexit bonuses on a public forum. It must be very frustrating for you, being prevented from being heard by all that moaning.

Brexit hasn't failed
The purpose of brexit was to “get back control”,
Yet brexit supporters are claiming the problem at Dover was caused by 5 Frenchmen turning up late for work.

Either

1) Brexit has not got back control
or
2) the problem at Dover is not due to the French

which is it?

both

we had over 40 years of that from the anti-EU campaigners

and they haven't stopped yet

will they ever?
Yes but Remoaner moaning stops JBR from getting his Brexer point across. Imagine how frustrating that must be? An easily accessible public forum - he's there ready to put his Brexer point across - finger at the ready hovering over the keys and wham!....out of the blue people start moaning about one of the worst things to happen to the UK in decades and the poor snowflake can't brig himself to tap his keys.

Actually latest report is that passport stamping increases delay and that plus the fact they have problems in high use periods anyway stacks up and makes it worse. The slightest hiccup and it gets even worse. No cure seen in the near future.

You can bet staffing changed during covid restrictions just as it did in airports.

LOL I used collect passport stamps in the 70's. Particularly from Switzerland by driving in an out on different routes. Some were spectacular. Usually a bloke in box about the same size as for telephones who had to be persuaded to come out. :( It was stolen, out of date when our house was burgled. Also found a 3 road junction, each to a different country with no checks. Slept in the car there overnight and locals explained. No idea what they were up to - about 1/2 dozen of them.

I agree. It is sad that this government, certainly under Cameron, May and now Boris, have made a mess of things.
It is my belief that we should have withdrawn from the EU completely and immediately rather than remaining at least partly under their control. The same goes for the ECHR.
The longer this situation continues, the more damage is being done to this country and it has to be said that the unhappy remoaners are doing nothing to help. Continuing to maintain that we should go back to the EU begging them to take back control of this country will do nothing other than encourage them, especially our historic enemy France, to do their best to make our life difficult.
Remoaners may not realise this, but their activities and complaining do nothing other than encourage our enemies to attempt to punish us even more. Sadly, our inept politicians seem to be doing exactly the same.
Think about it. If you have children, you are helping them to live in a country without a future!

By 53%, A compelling majority I think we can all agree.

Unionists are a minority now aren't they?
That 53% is from a dodgy online opinion poll.
All it shows is that 53% of those polled don't know what they are talking about.
As the Protocol has never been fully implemented, How can anyone offer an opinion on something which has not yet occurred.
You should have read your link before posting it.
Statistic from the same poll...
Quote.
But 55% worry about the implications if grace periods ended and the protocol was implemented in full.

Are you sure that made any difference

Half of the population of Northern Ireland describe themselves as "neither unionist nor nationalist", according to new research
Where do you find this stuff Notch
Lets look at the facts.
There are 90 seats in the N.I. assembly, of those 90 seats, only 35 are Nationalist.
The percentage of the population supporting Irish nationalism has not increased in 100 years.
