Hi Folks, I have had the electrician in to change all my Halogen downlights in kitchen and bathroom to LEDs. But he had an awful time getting some of the downlight fittings out and some damage has occurred on a few of them, see below. What would be the best way to repair this damage?

Many thanks.

Why change the fitting, led's can be a straight swop.
Those look like poor quality imports , did you supply or the electrician.

Sorry guys but you have deviated a little from my original question. It was indeed virtually a straight swap, MR16 halogens and transformers came out, GU10s LEDs went in. I haven't changed anything else. All I'm asking is how to repair the damage around the hole . . . . . . . .

And you have been answered correctly see the post #2 under yours.

It's the only way, pull the light fittings out - fill the hole with a fine filler - when dry sand it down to match the rest then paint it.
Then refit your lights.
