N - Neutral
L - Live call from programmer
3 - Call for heat to mot valve.

i would say your
blue is neutral
brown is live
g/y is sw/l

check with a multi meter.

thanks for the advice it is wired that way now and seems to work.
radiators are warmong up.
just confusing why when i first did it with wiring like this pump and boiler didnt fire up,when hot water was demanded it fired up!!!

i then selected 24hr on timer for c/h will check c/h in morn on its own to see if it works.

once again thanks

hope so

ill see tomorrow

its gone off now when i thought it would carry on

seems it turned off when the hot water went off

yes programmed to come on up to ten pm

set thermostat to 25 degs

it went off coincidentally when it had heated a tank of water.

never had a prob before

only changed thermstat because it would only turn on above 30 degs

im a bit confused now dont know whats wrong withit

could you tell me how to fix back my old thermostat at least it worked

i didnt take note where the wires came off but no 1,3 and 2 screws are loose

its a honey well thermostat

c/h switch on control box is set for 24 hr and thermo is set at max

no c/h

it worked when the boiler was heating water

very cofusing

thats that idea out for tonight.
does the stat click when you turn it up/down ?

so its got live to it n0 1
so i would check n0 3 connection.

or remove 1-3 join them together with a choc bloc if boiler fires you know
everthing else is working.
