Basically, we use them to heat the central heating up, when we put clothes on and at night time when we are upstairs, however downstairs our radiators don't work fully so we keep it low and sit next to the radiators which does work, that way the house isn't heating up just the one next to us.

We are going to change our radiators, as they can be bleed, but not at the moment as we also need to change our pip work.
 
Well I don’t know of a way to control those disks, but perhaps some smart TRV’s would help?
