dust collection on mitre saw

Just bought Performance Power mitre saw which has a dust collection bag.
Problem is it does not collect any saw dust , no suction into the bag at all . Any help please

Bags are pretty poor for collecting dust, they fill up quickly and like you say, no actual suction so they just rely on what gets thrown at them. To do it properly you need a dust vac attached to it.

It's a budget DIY saw, don't expect too much from it!

Problem is -- they don't fill up quickly because nothing is being thrown at them .
As far as the saw is concerned it seems value for money.
