Earth point for dash cam?

I'm installing a dash cam and everything is going fine.

The only niggle is finding a suitable earth point. Can I use one of the nuts for the fuse box surround, it seems (should be?) connected to the chassis?

For sure, it's a good chance.....a test with a multimeter will show you for definite.

I've gone ahead with using one of the nuts as I could later see this metal casing was welded to the chassis but I'm only assuming that should be a definitive answer as I don't know a lot about this stuff and testing.

Nevertheless, it's working and at some point I'll install the rear cam too if I haven't blown up the car by then!
