Hi

Anyone use these guys? Considering swapping over to them for supplies as they seem to have a wide range of stuff and I reckon they are cheaper than CEF!
PS: This is not a joke/lighthearted thread!!! Very serious!!!

I use them a lot, best out of the local outfits, Senate are OK, CEF terrible. Depends on the branch manager too

CEF is sometimes cheaper, but not often. i usually order stuff from other places, but if i have to go to a wholesaler, its usually r.dinning or beacon electrical

I have been cef free for nearly 3 years now and feel better for it. It was easy to leave.
They were giving jo public prices almost the sme as me (at one point I paid £90 for a 5+5 split board-proteus). This was before I shopped around and figured I was being ripped off.

Since then I have used Edmundsons and others. For the first 2 years they were good with keen prices. Latterly they have been slipping, but still better than CEF ever were.

I shop around and make sure all suppliers know I do that way they all give keener prices.

I find I get good service from edmundsons and other local outlets. Discount depends on your shopping habits.

Are we talking Barrow branch?, yes CEF were not up to much. Got a little bit better since they have moved though.

I use Wilts, N+E and Edmundsons.

Only trouble with edmundsons is that they don't have a overnight trunk from other branches.

Wilts & N+E can supply pretty much anything next day, if ordered by 4 - no charge.

bald - just swapped from one supplier to another and stipulated that we wanted get sockets or equivalent - they assured us they are the same. Got to the job and used a couple of d/s - seemed ok. Came to use a s/s - what a load of xyz. Going back to our other supplier for all our fascias - GET.
