Electric cooker installation

I need to install a new electric cooker in a kitchen. It just needs a short cable from the terminal box on the wall, to the cooker. Do I need this to be done by a Part P qualified person?

No.

There is no such thing.

Par P of the building regulations merely states:

That's it.

There are registered electricians who can 'self-certify' (which actually means ' self-notify' - anyone can complete an electrical certificate) notifiable work but you don't need one of those either.


It's not supposed to make sense.
