help help
im trying to fit a new light to an existing rose,
the problem is the rose is a loop in with 4 terminals and the new light just has 3 live,neutral and earth. where do the live wires go if the black wire with red sleeve used to go in the live terminal?
so far all i get is the fuse blowing or the light comes on but cant swith it off

i can never understand why this is so difficult for most people...

the blue wire from the old light cable went to the terminals with the black wires in.....

the brown wire went to the terminals with the black wire with red sleeving....

the reds all went together on their own in the middle......

earths all went together in the brass terminal on the rose...

so how do you think the new blue, brown and earth wires should go?

















reds together in a terminal block...

brown to black with red sleeving...

blue to blacks without sleeving...

what you have done is put the black with red sleeving with the other blacks havent you????....
