I have an Electrolux EOD33002X double oven, and over the past few years the clock has started randomly resetting itself. When this happens, the display starts flashing and buzzing, just as it does when the time hasn't been set.

At first, this only happened occasionally, but it's now become much more frequent. I'm having to switch the oven off at the mains when I'm not using it because the clock keeps resetting.

The biggest problem is that it now sometimes happens while I'm actually using the oven. With this model, the oven won't operate if the clock hasn't been set. Whenever it resets, I have to hold the minute/increase button until the time is set again before I can continue using it.

I initially thought it might be a loose electrical connection, so I removed the oven and checked the connections at the back. Everything appears secure and I couldn't see any obvious problems.

Has anyone experienced this problem with this model, or have any idea what could be causing it? Is there a repair for the clock/timer, or is it likely to be something more serious?

It seems a shame to replace the whole oven because, apart from this issue, everything else works perfectly.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
