Engineered wood floor underlay and carpet transition

I am laying an engineered wooden floor in my first floor bedroom.

Transition
The hallway outside the bedroom is carpeted, and so was the bedroom. So there is a brass grip strip along the door threshold. What is the best way to replace this strip so that the carpet is kept tacked down, but the wood floor sit underneath?

The carpet seems to dip a bit at the gripper strip, but the main floor seems relatively level with the new wood floor. (Note, in the photos, the wood sample has no underlay underneath so levels will be higher)

I was thinking I could possibly cut the top of the strip off with a multitool, leaving the grippers on the carpet and fitting a transition strip over the top? Or is there a type of transition strip that fits over what I currently have?

Underlay
I was hoping to insulate under the flooring sheets to help reduce noise in the room below, but this is more work than hoped. I am now looking at different types of sound reducing underlay.

I am not rushing to buy the underlay offered by the company where I am buying the floor as it seems like there is a rather high markup on the price (£3.99 /m2), compared to what I can find in the likes of Screwfix.

It is quite thin though, so would help maintain the levels with the carpet at the transition. Does this seem like a lot for what it is, or could anyone suggest a cheaper alternative that is just as good, without the additional markup, available at a DIY store?

You need a Wood floor to Carpet Transition Strip or you can use a Wood floor Square nosing, both should be available with the flooring range you are buying.

For underlay, have a look at TimbermateXL underlay if its a concrete floor or Multitex if the subfloor is floor boards/composition flooring.

@dazlight Of course, I don't know how I missed that. Doh.
@crazydaze I see the wood floor to carpet transition strip doesn't have any teeth on the carpet side, so should I try to keep the teeth on the brass strip I currently have down, and carefully cut away the rest? Do the transition strips just glue down?

They all say they are suitable for wooden floor (as well as laminate). I like the sound (and price) or the first one. The second and third are very similar to the one the wood store offers:
