England and Wales, formerly Christian countries

Based on the data it doesn't look like the Muslim faith is growing. More that more people in the UK are Muslims. Overall we are seeing a reduction in religion, which can only be a good thing, not that I have a problem with anyone having a belief in fairies or the force or whatever.

Let's be honest, what % of the population think about the 'true meaning' of things like Christmas and Easter?
Seasonal festivals existed long before Christians hijacked them.

OOI, what do you think the Spring festival celebrates?

Clue: what are rabbits famous for?

...not that I have a problem with anyone having a belief in fairies or the force or whatever.
And there's the rub. Just how many Jedi or Elves are there in the UK? When asked for my religion on a census form a few years back (in 2001) I ticked the "Other" box and wrote in "Jedi" on the dotted line only to have the PM of the day to say that I, and 390,000 others, could not possibly be a Jedi. The fifth biggest religion in the UK and they cancelled us, despite being one of the fastest growing religions in the UK (there were NONE in the.UK in 1971). Bloody Christians!

And yet we all want Christmas and Easter off, and the blokes will be out frantically buying presents on 24th Dec.
These are old,. Non-religious festivals that the church hijacked. Celebrate midwinter and springtime instead. Same customs remain. You can even sing the same songs of you like.
