Every medical professional I come into contact with asks me if I'm diabetic.

I'm not, and I have just, through losing weight and cutting down on sugary stuff, lowered my HbA1c reading so I am no longer pre-diabetic. My reading is now 40.

The HbA1c test is a bit like a fingerprick test where you get a blood sugar reading, but the difference is that the fingerprick gives you a "here and now" blood sugar levels whereas the HbA1c gives you a reading across the last 2 to 3 months.

I'm hoping if I continue to lose weight and eat less sugar, my HbA1c will drop even more.
The further away I get from 41, the better I will feel.

It has a slightly lower glycemic index than sugar (it causes less of a spike in your blood sugar levels), but personally I sill avoid it in favour of a banana.
If you get the right honey though, I agree, it can be delicious.

We went to the Cotswolds last year and got some proper Cotswolds honey with honeycomb in. Like honey used to be!

Was watching this morning last week and Doctor Hillary Jones was saying not to worry about you BMI to much.

He said the best way to judge if you are overweight is that your weist measurement x 2 should be less than your height.

But, arent they supposed to further investigate if you have a fatty liver?
I have one and mention it to all the medical professionals that will listen and they haven't shown any particular concern.
