ESI Wired Thermostat to Tado Wired - 2 Zones (DATA CABLES)

actually I think it might be working. Not to familiar with what myboiler does and the sounds it makes but if I turn the temp up on the app, shortly after the steam comes out the vent outside my house which means it's heating and when I turn boiler off through app the steam stops and the radiators eventually start to loose heat.
You’ll soon see as it will start cooling down in ur house. Let me know if so.

Are you in a new build?

Yes new built persimmon home. Just popped out and came back radiators have cooled down. Boilers still on tho and keeps firing up? Not sure if this is right or not but it's.not heating the radiators?

I don’t think that’s right. The boiler shouldn’t be firing up if you are not requesting heat.

It’s got to be something to do with the wiring but I’m not an expert and the helpful @RandomGrinch has not been around for a while.

It was worth a try thanks. My radiators are doing what I want but I don't want my boiler on all the time. Looks like I'll go back to the esrtp6c and probably upgrade to the wifi version

No problem. I’m sure if you do enough searching you’ll find a solution. How do you find your new home? I’m with the same developer.

@J3oef - Just moved into a house with the dreaded ESI install, what device did you tell Tado you were installing as they don't support the swap to the 6C in the app :D

It was a while ago but I’m sure I didn’t have any issues. It was the V3 I’m sure or similar, don’t think it matters much!

Any chance you can look in your app to see what you told the Tado you where replacing? (Yep I am using V3+ too)

Can have a look if you point me in the right direction as I can’t see anything of use?

Tado > Settings > Room & Devices > Select a Thermostat > Installation Instructions

As soon as you open it you'll see what you replaced.

Not sure if that’s right but if I remember correctly, I selected a variant of an ESI if mine wasn’t listed
