Hello,

Another function covered by using conduit could be to protect cables from the elements and external influences, or where buried in screed ( this may be classed as mechanical though ?).
How about, in some cases it can be used to form part of the protective conductor.
I agree with ricicle , No.1 may not be your best option.
However, I am not qualified so it may be best to wait for this to be confirmed.

Could be that a number of circuits can be ran in one tube?

Could be something along the lines of future proofing? Conduit can be put in place for future additions to save extra work later on. (before the main floor slab is poured for example)

Hi,
I wouldn't go with your above answer(description) on the exam paper, as it will may be looked upon as part of the design and characteristics of the circuit that should already be in place.
As I said, I am not qualified, just trying to help.
