Hi all,

I would like to install a 15mm thick ply/oak engineered wood product into my living room which is about 3.5 m x 3.5 m. The product is click lock.

On one wall there is a 3m wide internal bifold door set which has an oak bottom track, and it would look considerably nicer to lay the flooring right up to this track for a seamless threshold.

In a room of this size, would it work to omit a gap between the flooring and this bottom track, leaving a larger gap on the other 3 sides (as well as the ~25cm either size of the track) to accommodate?

thanks

Should be ok assuming the floor runs away from door as most expansion occurs across the boards rather than along it .
