Explorer update & google

Having (inadvertantly during an anti-spyware update!) updated Internet Explorer, I've been sorting out the inevitable consequential glitches: lost settings etc.

One strange phenomenon relates to Google.

Whenever I run a search on google, up pops page one of the search results. But as soon as I click to view page two, page one just fades and freezes. Same if I change the search wording.

This does not happen (so far) with any other website or function - just google!

Any thoughts?

Use Google Chrome instead. A great browser and a lot faster than IE
