In the process of thinking about removing our small conservatory and replacing with a larger single storey extension (built by me)

Due to the ground levels, the connie floor level is 5 courses above the ground. I don't know yet how this was constructed....beam and block or just a mass pour slab.

Either way, is it feasible to make my new bit of floor (on the two sides I'm adding) from beam and block, somehow marrying it up to the original? I don't really want to hack out the old floor if poss!
