Hi Guys

I wanted to ask, what would be the cost (roughly) to extend a garage width wise, garage is average size & would it be a big job. The garage is attached to the house, it will be extending roughly 2ft outwards & keeping within our side alleyway.

Ive had a look & Inside brick work all exposed, SO im assuming it just a case of removing the side of wall of bricks and extending out? because its single storey no planning involved?

Anyone extended there garage recently?

any help much appreciated

really? to take out the existing side brick wall and extend by 2 foot?

remove an dispose off the roof
remove and dispose off a wall
dig out and extend floor to new footings [if possible]
or lift and replace
extend the end walls if possible
or demolish and rebuild
build new wall
build new roof

probably much cheaper to demolish and rebuild with a new sectional building??

A lot will depend upon the vagaries of your scenario.

For example, it would be a lot easier (roof wise) to extend a gable end rather than a sloping elevation. Your roof may even be flat for all we know.

We don't know anything about your roof or your entire layout for that matter so people on here are not going to take your post seriously unless you post more info'.

There are a trillion factors to think about like border fences or walls, services, drains, accesss for rainwater disposal, new roof heights i.e. first floor windows etc, pitched or flat etc.

By the way, being single storey has no bearing as to whether planning permission is needed or not needed. Same with building regulations.
