Extension lead into the central heating socket

In my downstairs cloakroom, a 300W heated towel rail runs off the lighting circuit.

No reason why not.

It could run a kW if needed.

it has a CH programmable stat and turns warmer during hours of daylight (when the solar panels are likely to be generating). it provides general protection against cold and damp.

No different to having one of these which is rated at 750W

come to think of it, when I moved in, it did have an infra red lamp on the pendant.

I'd forgotten all about that.

Only came on with the light switch, though. My prog. stat. is more advanced.

There is no socket circuit in the room, and it has a solid floor.
