Extension with kitchen window still in place to keep cats out the kitchen...any other options?

Hi all
We have a new extension and I've left the kitchen window in for now to stop our cats getting into the kitchen from the new room. Is there any other solutions to this issue like a slightly sexier looking window option?

Folding or sliding glazed doors would be far better.
