Looking for recommendations to replace my current very old PIR sensor with a Smart version. I have a new garage for example which does not have the circuit feed from the PIR so currently these do not come on when a a car or person is near the garage. Any recommendations appreciated. Needs to be IP rated ie outdoors.

I've used the Philips Hue external PIR with their hub and lights. It has been reliable but its at the expensive end of the market.

Philips Hue outdoor sensor with Hue compatible bulbs and a Hue hub (zigbee) has proved to be very reliable but pricier than cheaper Wi-Fi stuff

I looked at my shed, placed well to have a light to show route car to house, and had all sorts of ideas. Ended up with a simple smart socket adaptor, and turned it on/off with my phone. Adaptor cost £10.
