Hello,
I replaced my bathroom extractor fan because the previous one had stopped working.
New one is working well but I think I should have probably put some sealant under the base of the fan to seal it? If so, what kind of sealant is recommended?

Also, there was nothing holding the ducting to the spout on the previous extractor, the ducting was just sitting around the spout. So I did the same with the new fan. It was a pretty tight fit,
but not sure if I needed to put some kind of tape or tie around the junction between the fan’s spout and the ducting to seal that?
Thanks

Just run some white caulk around the outside of the case

Some kits do come with pipe snap clips or good duct tape, a large jubilee clip could be used too.
