Freeze master high on my wish list also. Too pricey to hire for little jobs.

No blahblah, I tend to be able to knock them off using my old adjustable wrench, there are times when the special tool would be faster though I'm sure. I'm getting tight in my old age though and I see some of these tools as just more weight to carry and another thing to lose.

I might treat myself to one after the next well paying job.

Attaches to the nut Kev then you twist the middle bit and it pulls it off taking the olive with it. Has an add on bit for 22 but that doesn't have the same sucess rate (for me anyway). Think I got it from S Fix.

I use a nice sharp junior hacksaw and a flade blade screwdriver. That said, there are times when not having any swarf would be a bonus.

The second last plumber I watched at work used a junior hacksaw to persuade a couple of 3/4" olives to 'let go'.

A week later I watched one of his colleagues fix his work (which was leaking), and had him tell me that the leak was probably caused by 'that scrape on the pipe'

The scrape on the pipe was about half an inch long, and the width of a junior hacksaw blade.

Try not to be too energetic with that junior hacksaw......
