Government have announced it wont tax 88% of imports which include farming.

Farm exports will be subject to tariffs.

Can any brexiteers hazard a guess what that means for farming?

95% of lamb meat goes to the EU.
WTO tariffs will make it too expensive.

There ya go, hope that helps (y)

They may have to sell it in the UK ? Novel idea I know, but it just might work, they don't export their produce, we don't import as much produce.

just had a glance at some stats, we export something like 90,000 tons of lamb (2017) whilst we import something like 70,000 tons.

Maybe it's halal meat we import, don't know if it's legal to slaughter animals that way in the UK.

    http://beefandlamb.ahdb.org.uk/market-intelligence-news/uk-lamb-trade-balances/

It is well known that the UK both imports and exports sheep meat throughout the year. This is to balance two things, the timing of UK production compared to domestic demand, and the carcase. For example, the UK imports more legs than it exports (including those on exported carcases), and more of these imports happen in the spring.

    Brexiteers truly are thick.
