Hi

Room has 4 12 volt mr16 downlighters installed in the ceiling,

Unfortunately 3 of the 4 downlighters are not working

Replaced the lamps (50W) however this did not fix the problem.

The one working light does seem to get through lamps pretty quickly

The downlighters were fitted by the previous owner so I'm not sure how they are wired in or how many transformers are being used

Any ideas what the problem could be ?

Thanks,

Faulty wiring.

Faulty transformers.

Faulty lampholders.

What's access like above the ceiling?

Can you get to the wiring, eg is it in the loft?

You need to trace the wiring and find out what transformers there are and how many you have.

It may not be the transformer(s). A connection may have become dislodged so that the first light in the chain still works and the rest do not.

ALL connections and transformers should be accessible. You'll need a multimeter to trace through the wiring.
