Not so sure I would trust a Dutch person's idea of a good car, didn't they produce the Daf 33, an awful car with a belt-driven gearbox? :D
The Daf 33 was a revolutionary car, and bloody marvellous - I had two of them.

I had a 1972 TR6 about 10 years ago. Cost me a fortune keeping it running right. I reckon I spent about £2500 in about 18 months. Was quick though and cool with overdrive - you could get to 50 in second gear then flick the overdrive lever and get to 70 still in second. Made for frighteningly fast overtaking. One of the first cars with fuel injection - was a rough system though, the fuel pump worked at around 105 psi!!!!!! Had a fault with said pump - it was running at about 90 psi so when I was overtaking it'd just die for a moment  . Yes my ass was twichy until I replaced the pump.
Sold it to a shirt-lifter from Manchester. :D
Fond memories (the car not the woofter), but never again.

Lovely car that was - my best friend had one for a few years, with all the usual fuel pump/injector problems.

I used to thrash the pants off him when in my Dutton Phaeton. Until we got to about 100mph that is, and then I was dust.

we had a morris oxford which we could only start with a screwdriver wedged in on a particular angle, we drove it down from swansea to penzance then shipped it over here on the ferry it was built like a tank and lasted years but the ignition (screwdriver) completely packed in so I devised this starter system with a light switch and door bell you turned on the light and pressed the doorbell and she fired up brammer.

I bet 95% of posters in this thread assign genders to their vehicles.
