I have been asked to erect a Feather edge fence by a friend, he says he wants to pay me a fair price. The problem is I don't know how to price the job. I am not in the trade so I will shop around for materials to get the best prices but it is the labour that I do not know what I should fairly charge, is it by panel (4x + gate) or total lenght (25ft). Thanks

Thanks Thermo - but that is the point - I could quote anything for my time, it is valuable to me, the question is - what would be a reasonable 'GOING RATE' - I would appreciate your help - once again thanks.

In the past, I have paid fencing contractors around £40 a panel in labour.
