Hi all

I have a Ferroli Compact DOMI F30B and every 24hrs the pressure will drop around 0.5 - 1 bar.

I have replaced the PRV (even though there was only about 30ml of water expelled over a week) and also replaced the automatic air vent.

I have charged the expansion vessel to 1bar and there is no sign of water leaking from the schrader valve and the pressure doesnt significatly rise during boiler operation.

I have check all rads and cannot find the slightest sign of a leak but still the pressure drops.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated?

P.s. when the boiler was originally fitted the filling loop was left constantly open (for 2 years) so the prv was constantly expellig due to the high pressure. Could something else be damaged as a result? Also heating works fine when boiler is operating

Another favorite on these is a leak in the secondary heat exchanger. Small leak evaporates as its a real hot place! Any more than a dribble evaporating goes out the condensate pipe. U can check by wanging press up to 2.5 bar locking off F&R valves stick condensate pipe into saucepan & watch what happens overnight. ( ask custard to use plenty hot water to keep boiler hot Easy job to change but part is frightening price! (280+)
