Hi everyone.
Thought I would attempt to try and change my bathroom sink taps myself as money is pretty tight. It went pretty well although one of them is leaking (slight drip) from the join from where the copper pipe joins to the bottom of the tap pipe. I've read a bit about different types of joins. I don't think (although not sure) this is a compression join as I didn't notice any olive on the pipe. I also cannot recall a washer falling out. I am not sure if this simply needs tightening further, whether it needs some sort of washer, or in fact I am mistaken and needs an olive. I have also read about putting PTFE tape around the threads.

I have attached a picture which hopefully shows what I am talking about as I don't know the right terms.

Thanks for any help.

Your tap connector needs a fibre washer fitted ,it is held captive within the nut.
You should remove all traces of the old washer before fitting a new one and connecting to the tap.
