Im about to buy some fitted wardrobes with bridging units going over the bed, between two wardrobes, one either side of the bed (huge pine kingsize) the problem is that the wall they need to screw onto is only a stud wall.
Will metal 'redidrivas' (plasterbord wall pugs) be sufficiant for hanging the bridging units? - they will also be attatched to both wardrobes, or not?

It all depends on what you are going to keep in the bridging units but I would say it should manage with the method you mention. As an added measure you could lay and fix a flat steel strip over the top of the bridging units which overlaps onto the upright wardrobes on either side.
