Hi I want to fitting a chandelier, I've got 3 blue n 3 brown wires coming out of the ceiling can I put the 3 blues together n put them in the wiring block from the chandelier n the same with the brown wires. I did have an electrician lined up who quoted me £50 but lost his number.

This guy is good too...

For the basic ceiling rose..

And to go through different kind of connector blocks/junction boxes which you may need with a chandelier.

Thanks for the replies, as all the wires are already in a wiring block is it possible to dismantle the ceiling rose n just connect the chandelier as normal.

is it possible to dismantle the ceiling rose

I hope you don't mean pull the little brass blocks out of the plastic base of the rose? If so, NO!!

Are there earth wires also coming out the ceiling?

Do you know whether the chandelier needs to be earthed?

Oh dear it's this age-old question!

Please just get an electrician, whatever it cost's it'll be worth it

Don't dismantle the ceiling rose. The hager box referred to in the second video I posted is an option that, as a DIYER, I used when replacing a pendant light with a close fitting metal on. But I'm not an electrician.
