Hi. I need to stick a new piece of plasterboard in my shower cubicle as the grout has worn away in the bottom row of tiles where the shower spray hits the wall. i have stripped out the old grout and row of tiles and the old plasterbaord came away with them.

I've cut a new piece of plasterboard to fit, but there is no studding in the partition (its an ensuite to the bedroom) & the new plasterboard needs to be stuck onto plasterboard behind.

I was thinking of buying a tub of ready mixed plaster from B&Q or Wickes and plastering the entire area behind OR dot and dabbing it to the plasterboard partition.

OR using a stong adhesive in a tube, maybe 'no nails' or similar....?

Could anyone advise the safest / best option.
(i cannot mix my own plaster) Thanks in advance.

If you must use plasterboard in a shower area, then the tile adhesive will fix the plasterboard as well as the tiles on it.

You need to replace the wall with aqua panel and re-tile, anything less is a bodge.
