Fix stud over tiled wall?

Hi, I am updating my bathroom renovation and want to built a 10cm stud wall for pipes instead of chasing soils brick walls. I will be fixing timber studs on tiled wall (less work removing the tiles) and just want to check if that’s alright? I can’t find the answer on google.

Unless you are aiming to hide a soil pipe or something a 100mm service gap is quite large, and it's quite difficult to plug and screw timber that deep to a wall.

No need if the studs are fixed top and bottom - but fair point regardless.
