What would be the best way to fix a piece of 4x2 to the top of a steel ridge beam?

The 4x2 would be used to fix the rafters to to create a vaulted ceiling.

Is it a structural connection taking load, or just a plate for fixing with gravity holding it down?
Wall plates are usually just strapped down with steel straps to the masonry if that helps.

Just a plate for fixing to, the steel beam will be taking the load. See image below if that helps

noseall, thanks for the image. My initial idea was to use tek screws and drill into the top flange. I feel this will be the best way to go. Thanks for the replies.
