Hi I am about to start fixing insulated plasterboard to my soild flank wall but due to space I am looking at fixing the board directly to the wall, however the board manufacturer has said this can be done using their own adhesive but it comes in 300ml tubes and costs £8.00 a tube. Can I get away with using a no nails adhesive or something simliar?

When I have finished fixing the board do I have to have everything skimmed or can I get away with just the joints being done?

Thanks

You should be able to use normal dry wall adhesive,

if the boards are foil backed then you may need to use dry fix foam adhesive.

if they are plain backed, i.e. the surface of the insulation is visible then dry wall adhesive will be ok.
