Fixing towel rail to dot and dabbed, tiled wall.

Evening,
I've got a dot and dabbed wall (12.5mm plaster) which has been tiled (200x100 metro's).
I need to fix a towel rail (1350x450) to the wall.
Worried about weight tbh, how should I go about it?

Cheers. Was planning to use them but more concerned about the overall weight of tiles and a towel rail on D&D wall.

It’s usually ok, I’ve done a fair bit of d&d walls from when I was fitting level access shower trays.

If it's dot and dabbed then you'll only have a minimum gap before you hit block/brick. Nice long drill and then use 100mm screws and fix it to the brick/block with raw plugs. Just don't over tighten the screws so it doesn't pull on the board too much.

I suppose it depends if it’s a brick wall, I’ve known people to dot and dab internal hollow walls

Why would anyone want to dot and dab partition walls? Surely it easier just to pull the old board off and fit new or just screw new on top?

Thanks but do these really work? They say it moves the load to the brick rather than board, which sounds great but I'm sceptical!

Thanks but due to the tiles I'm worried about any pressure on them. Plan B...
