Do you mean the flag of a country recognised by this country (and virtually every other one in the world), and which flies from the building which houses that country's diplomatic presence here?

I work on street lighting and the amount of flags is getting a bit awkward for us to work on the lights, If you cut them down all hell breaks loose and so we take them down whilst working on the lights but then put them back on when we have finished. To be fair they do make you feel proud of Britain rather than feel repulsed.

The number of flags in my street, has doubled, since I last counted them. Mine, is still flying proudly, at the back of my garden, though the pole has loosened at the top a little, so it leans a little one way, then the other.

The number of flags in my street, has doubled, since I last counted them.

I bet they are easier to count than ants and kWh's.

The number in our street has stayed the same = 0. There are one or two dotted about on the council estate up the road.

Hull is full of them, just about every street now. Before anyone says it is racist or whatever, I work the Yorkshire dales and very elite villages and they are also full of them. It makes you proud working on the lights and lately, I have been taking them down and moving them to the top of 10 metre posts. They look fantastic. We don't allow anything to be placed on our posts and remove anything that shouldn't be there, we leave these on though in support of our communitys.
