Hi All,
I have a flat roof with a 3m x 1m upstand for a roof lantern. I am going to use EPDM to finish the roof. How would I prevent pooling water behind the roof lantern which is between the lantern and existing house?
Is it just accepted that water will pool there due to fall of the roof?

Thanks
Luke

Not a roofer but is the roof already on?
Wouldn't the roof need a fall built in to counter pooling?

EPDM is not on yet I have just fixed the OSB in place ontop of the firrings.
Maybe cross firring behind the lantern to get the water to fall around the lantern?
Just cant seem to find any discussions on this topic!

Water only pools if there is a dip. If the area is flat or sloping then the water runs around the upstands.

You would peak the roof slightly behind the back centre of the lantern
