Can anyone help with this (I am not an electrician so please be gentle......)

I have two 5a sockets in a room switched from a single dimmer switch and have two table lamps plugged into them

When both are on all is fine - dimming and fully lit.

However if I only have one on, when it is fully lit it flickers. It doesn't matter which one is on, as this happens to both.

They have dimmable 60w bulbs in, and were regular table lamps with 13a plugs on that my electrician changed for 5a plugs.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Many thanks for your help.

I believe 60w.

The dimmer modules came with the switches (Focus Prism) but if remember rightly they are Aurora.

We have the same switches in the rest of the house which dim multiple GU10 bulbs with no problem.

Thanks for your help.

When you say dimmable 60w bulbs, do you mean they're just normal filament lamps with an electrical rating of 60w, or do you mean they're e.g. 6 watt led/cfl whose packaging has claimed they are a) dimmable and b) the equivalent light output of a 60w bulb?

It's just odd to refer to a filament 60w lamp as dimmable you see..

Hi

Sorry - its just it says 'fully dimmable' on the box the lamp came in. They are standard filament lamps with a 60w rating (supplied by the electrical shop where I bought the lights).

Apologies for the confusion.
