Hi all,
I'm planning on installing a 2-turn stairs as follows up to the loft. I'm wondering - what are the minimum fixing points needed for the stairs.
StairsFixingPoints.jpg

The stringer along the red line can be attached to a block wall. The green line will be a stud wall and the post marked "A" could be supported at first floor level. But, that's about all the fixing points available. The newel post at "B" will be hanging/floating (over an existing stairway)
Is that a sufficient amount of support/fixing points?
Thanks for your help.

That would work.
Many stairs have a newel which is not supported, but once the risers and treads are glued and wedged into their housings, the whole assembly remains rigid.
