Hi guys

2 weeks ago ,I basically replaced a previous external standard light that was outside the house near the door with a 50w PIR floodlight. I kept the same cable that was connected to a switch inside . I attached the new floodlight using wago connections with new and old cable. Put it nicely in a junction box.

It is rated IP66. Also its under a canopy so hardly got any water etc on it.

It was working absolutely fine. However now it's coming on dim as shown In the attachment.

What could be the issue ? Did it need a fuse switch? Etc.

Maybe it’s failed. Or it’s been switched off

50w led floodlight will be very bright - are you sure it’s 50w?

Faulty led module, get it replaced under warranty

Yeaah I would have thought it would've lasted more than 2 weeks ! Lol

Look at VTAC

A while back, I fitted an LED floodlight in my local pub. It went dim after a handful of weeks. The landlord took it back for a replacement. That went dim after about 2 weeks.

Based on advice here (possibly your's), I got him to order a VTAC. I have no idea how long it will last but it has a 5 year warranty, and a Samsung chip rather than a pants Chinese one..
