Hi all, can a competant person swap like for like on a 400watt floodlight in the garden, it is on an mcb with armoured cable. Thanks for your time.

I think you will find that building regs now state 100 watt maximum for floodlights.

Ok, I have know opened box with new floodlight, in preparation for tommorrow. It has the usual connections for the earth/live/neutral to come into the unit, but also attached to inside of unit which is the norm is another thinner earth cable but on the other end which is unattached is a spade connector but no where for it to go and it's too short to reach the earthing block, has anyone experienced this before. Thanks for your time.
