Just moved into a house, it was underpinned in 1998 due to what was likely to have been historic settlement which was mainly along the party wall, particually towards the rear.
I had a engineers report done and it came back ok, apart from a few things which need repairing. The floors downstairs are straight since new ones were put in after the underpinning.
All floors upstairs are good or reasonably level considering the property is 75+ years old, apart from the front bedroom floor which slopes from the front downwards towards the back wall, not exacly sure by how much but it is very noticeble when walking on it.
No idea if it is related to the subcidence but the bedroom floors either side of this one are ok. I'm thinking rather than having the joists packed to bring it level it would be better sister new joists to the existing ones. What kind of price am i looking at? for a room that is (4.24m (to bay) x 3.33m)
