fluorescent question

Hello, I have three individual gear trays (18w).
My question is; Instead of having 3 plugs to power the trays, is it possible to run all 3 off just 1 plug?

I assume it will not work and I dont understand why, but I thought I ask for someone advice before doing so.

Crafty, thanks for the confirmation. The old shop sign did not have electrics inside, I needed to confirm I could run x 3 18w lamps with only three wires. ~Thanks

assuming by 3 wires you mean L, N & E, then yes you can, connect them in paralell, and plug in.

mind you i would not want an "eat at joes" sign on my lounge wall
