fluorescent "skeleton" kits?

need to source a kit for a fluorescent but don't need the body.. ( ie like in a shop sign.. )

any ideas where to get them? preferably with screw down ends rather than clip in ones..

My wholesaler gets the bits individually.

I guess a sign manufacturer would have kits.

thanks.. it's for a project I'm considering for my kitchen lighting..
I'll let you know if it works out.. and maybe even if it doesn't.. as a warning to others..
