For the MI / PYRO lovers out there...

Agreed, a reasonable bit of pyro work, good you appeared to have taken time spacing the clips, that makes a lot neater job.

not sure about the screws though are they countersunk heads

I'd be concerned about the safety and useability of a woodburner if it got so hot that metres away from it buried PVC cables were at risk.

They weren't at risk, he just couldn't be bothered to do the derating calculations :-)

I hope the client plans to keep the Cu polished.

I cannot conceive of any other reason why anybody would ever go for surface mounted cable (of any sort) and surface mounted metal accessories, on the walls of a domestic living room, in preference to concealed cables and flush accessories.

I hear the industrial look is in this season.

If you haven't already got one, buy a pyro straightening roller. You'll have to get it off eBay as I don't think they make them anymore.

Now go and get yourself an off cut of metal bar approximatly 6mm in diameter and 250mm-300mm in length. Put a 90 degree bend in it approx 70-80mm from one end. Now clamp it in a vice and hacksaw a slot in the end of the long section

Has this morphed into a 'make your own christmas gifts' thread?

Sorry but it's a joistripper for me every time! Side cutters work in emergencies on old pyro where the joistripper won't fit.
